Red Ribbon - Ultimate Chocolate Cake

Last weekend, I am craving to eat cake but my question was what cake I would buy. I came across the Red Ribbon store and I saw a large tarpaulin with a picture of their new product which is the Ultimate Chocolate cake that cost for 495 pesos. I feel like the cake is calling me and telling me to buy him. (just hallucinating because of the craving.. lol).

So I decided to check it out inside and I found out that there is a smaller version of it that cause for 295 pesos since I am watching my diet and I don't want to deprive myself from eating cake so I just bought the smaller size.

The presentation of the cake you would say that it's really a ultimate chocolate cake because of the icing plus the choco chips that is being filled up on top. Upon slicing, it will display to you that inside of it is not just a plain bread cake but not, there are also chocolate icing which really satisfies your cravings.

I could really say that this cake is not the best cake but one of the cake that would really satisfies your cravings. If you are looking for a chocolate cake then this would be one of my recommendation with the price its really worth it.

By the way, I checked it from the Red Ribbon site and this is there description on this cake.

SamboKojin, The Heaven Kitchen

My friend and I have this planned to try to eat in an "eat all you can" resto in the metro and so we decided to start our adventure in Sambokojin Eastwood branch. Its a combination of Japanese, Korean and Oriental dishes that if you truly fond of then this is the place to be for you. Since, this is my first time to eat here so I did my research about it so I went to their site http://sambokojin.com/ and I found out that the name came from a Japanese Kitchen of God. I also read some blogs who have experienced eating here and most of them advised to make a reservation a day before so you won't have to wait long for a vacant table to dine.

Upon entering the resto, you would see all the foods from Japanese dishes, Korean dishes, Oriental dishes and of course the desserts.

Different type of Tempura

I forgot to mention that Sambokojin is a Smokeless Grilled resto where you can choose from a wide variety of grilled foods like meat, vegetables and seafoods.

In every table you will see different set of sauce and seasoning that you can choose from depending on your taste. They have Sambokojin sauce, Takumi sauce, Teriyaki sauce, Chili sauce etc.

Different Sauce with Salt and Pepper

One thing that I have discovered when I did my research was don't missed to taste the Kamameshi rice. This is not being served in the table you would need to ask it from the waiter. Of course eventhough its a basic rule not to eat rice in an eat all you can resto, we let ourselves try to taste the Kamameshi rice and we were not disappointed that we break the rule because the rice is so yummy. The container where it was being served was really caught my attention because it was unique where the main purpose was to preserve the hotness of the rice a little bit longer.

What is a dinner without the desserts? Yes Sambokojin would not let you down if you love sweets because of their wide varieties of desserts from cakes, ice cream, fresh fruits etc..

Check out the some of the foods in our table that we did not miss to taste.

Overall the experience with Sambokojin was really great because of the delicious foods, friendly staffs, great place and good ambiance. It's a littel bit expensive but worth the price so I can really say that this the place to be for food lovers. Definitely I will come back here. See you soon Sambokojin! :)

Jacob's Shawarma

One afternoon, I get the chance to redeem the Jacob's Shawarma voucher I purchased from a buying site. It's known for there famous long shawarma with 12 inches in size. When I entered the store I noticed that place full of pictures and map of the country Turkey and then I found out that they are serving Turkish Shawarma. I have noticed also that the table setting is quite unique nothing is special but you would feel a different atmosphere.

They have three different type of shawarma you can choose from Chicken, Fish and Lamb and Beef Shawarma. Upon ordering, they will ask you on what level of hotness you would like it to be. I return back the question to the lady and she suggested me to just try the plain one since they will give you hot sauce if you wish so at least you can adjust the level of hotness. One more thing that strikes me the most is they use lemon as part of the sauce and not the typica garlic sauce. At first I feel awkard because I am not used to eat shawarma with lemon. Unfortunately you cannot choose any of the three becuase there is a schedule from Monday Saturday on what type of shawarma they are serving but you can choose what type of bread you would like either wheat or pita. If you are a healthy conscious person then you would only need to add 5 pesos and the bread will be wheat.

My order came in and I tried it with lemon and hot sauce and all I can say is the taste is very good. The lemon blends very well with the shawarma. Did I say that their shawarma has full of ingredients. They are generous with the ingredients veggies and meat/fish so for the regular price of 200 its really worth it.

They have also other food that you can try like baklava which cost around 50 pesos per slice but for me I find it expensive but probably the next time I visit here I will try that one. For drinks they are serving yoghurt as a remedy in case you feel the hotness of their sauce. For the other details on there menu you can check it out in the picture below which has the picture of the owner at back.  By the way, it is located in the heart of Ortigas Center Pasig City near Shell gas station infront of Meralco Center gate.

Kenny Roger's Muffin

Last time, I was in the mall and for don't know reason I'm craving for muffins from Kenny Rogers. Their muffins have different flavor to choose from but most of the time the Corn muffins, Cookies n Cream muffins and Strawberry muffins are available. I remember during Christmas season they have a Fruit cake muffin which I really miss now.

Out of the three flavors, I really love the Cookies n cream not only because of the taste but because of the cookies on top of the muffin which I find it appetizing.

It can be served as is, or with butter, cream cheese or jam but for me I usually pair it with my favorite fruit flavored yogurt.

The  price of a muffin is 15 pesos but if you will buy in box (6 pcs ) it will cost for only 70 pesos which is not bad.

How about you what is your favorite muffin's flavor? Please share it on the comment below. :)
